Adoptable Pet of the Week – Maia

Introducing Maia, our Adoptable Dog of the Week. Maia is a 5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix from Indianapolis, Indiana with a gorgeous white and chestnut coat and a heart of gold. She didn’t get the best start, and is missing an ear, a toe, and recently had surgery to correct a previous injury to her leg. Although her beginning wasn’t the greatest, Maia is still a loving and affectionate girl who wants a best friend for life. She is spayed, micro-chipped, caught up on all her vaccinations, and house-trained!

Maia’s Tale:

Woof! My name is Maia and I love belly rubs and treats! You may have noticed my injuries, but they don’t stop me from being the best friend you could ever have. I am a strong girl, so you might have to get used to my strength. I would prefer to be the only pet in the home, and I don’t do well with children, but I will certainly warm up to other people if you can be patient with me. Maybe a few Nylabones will help me adjust a little quicker (they are my fave). I also enjoy frequent belly rubs which make me super happy! I recently attended a mega adoption event, but no one wanted to take me home. Will you adopt me so I can finally have a home to share with my new best friend?
