Finally, some football we actually want to watch!

Apparently there’s some big football game happening on Sunday, February 1st…hmmmm, we wouldn’t know anything about that.

What we do know is that Animal Planet’s 11th annual Puppy Bowl will be taking place the very same afternoon –have you picked a pooch to root for? Can we root for all of them? Is that an option? (Just kidding. We’re totally rooting for ALL THE PUPPIES.)

If you haven’t had the privilege of watching the Puppy Bowl, you’ll definitely want to tune in this year –just be prepared to die of cute overload, and don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Starting at 3pm on Superbowl Sunday, watch Team Ruff go paw-to-paw with Team Fluff. A total of 55 draft pick pups will do battle for puppy-dom’s top honor, but only one team will come out on top, and only one pooch will earned the coveted title of MVP (Most Valuable Puppy).

The pups aren’t the only attraction at Puppy Bowl XI, either. Don’t miss the half-time show, where Animal Planet’s own Katty Furry (Katy Perry who?) takes the stage with her best kitty buds to orchestrate a musical feline revolution.

Also returning this year is Dan Schachner, America’s favorite “rufferee” and Animalist star and internet celebri-kitty Lil’ Bub, who will be checking in throughout the game.

Want to join in on the action? Share photos on of you and your pet on Instagram throughout the day using for a chance to see your picture on-air in real time!

And it’s not just all about the cute –the awesome thing is that all the pups taking part in the Bowl are from rescue groups and shelters across the United States. To learn more about the pups, you can check out their player profiles and even a few ‘Adoption Tails’ on Animal Planet’s website.

Are you as excited for Puppy Bowl XI as we are?

Puppy Bowl XI airs Sunday, February 1, 2015 on Animal Planet from 3pm to 5pm, and we’ll be glued to our sets.
