It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a… pug? Illustrator Josh Lynch gives pups a superhero (or supervillain) makeover in this awesome new series.

Personally, we think dogs are already basically superheroes just the way they are, but artist Josh Lynch thinks they should dress the part, too. That’s why he created a new series of illustrations featuring a bunch of adorable super-powered pooches.

Spiderpug, Spiderpug, does whatever a Spiderpug does… somehow we don’t think this guy is quite as graceful as Spiderman when swinging in between skyscrapers, but we’ll give him a pass because he’s so stinkin’ cute.

There’s probably no better choice than the beloved, beefy bulldog to take on the role of The Hulk. Can you imagine the Hulk-sized drool this guy would produce?!

Similarly, is there any breed more fitting than a Golden Retriever to take over for Thor, in all his luscious, flaxen-haired glory? We think not. Lookin’ handsome, Mr. Retriever.

Can’t forget about our feline friends, now can we? Cats are smart and cunning (some might say evil!), so it only makes sense to have a kitty-cat stand-in for Loki, Thor’s brother and arch nemesis.
