X-Factor’s Louis Walsh created a holiday show just for Fido and friends, and it’s coming out at the end of this month!

I admit it. I love, love, love the holiday television season! I love the “Countdown To Christmas,” and I watch.them.all. My dogs often watch with me, content to lay at my feet and listen to me sob at the sweetest (and sappiest) stories ever.

But now, thanks to a new British Channel called Christmas 24 (which will play all Christmas, all the time!) a new film is debuting at the end of the month–just for my dogs and yours!

The film is called Merry Woofmas and it’s narrated by Walsh. While humans can certainly watch with their pups, it’s actually made in the the visible color spectrum of dogs–bules and yellows, and uses slow-moving imagery. It also has short scenes to keep a dog in tune and adapts to their limited attention spans.

Walsh had the help of NBC Universal, as well as animal behavorists and veterinarians, to ensure it’s the perfect holiday film for pups. Walsh said that he loved being the narrator for the movie, and he found it really interesting to see what different sounds stimulate pets.

Dr. Candy d’Sa is a behaviorist with the film who thinks that it’s cool to have a show that the whole family, dog included, can watch this holiday season.

The film will feature several celebri-pups–Ramsey the Staffey, Mika the Husky and Marcel Le Corgi, and is sure to either make your dog howl with delight (or in my dog’s case, with disdain for any dog having the audacity to be on her television!).

Move over, It’s a Wonderful Life! Looks like there is a new holiday classic about to debut!

You can watch the show’s premier on the channel’s Facebook page at 4:50 pm, October 28th!
