Giving back on their special day, a North Carolina couple decided to spread their love by showcasing puppy love and shelter awareness as they tied the knot.

Charlotte, North Carolina couple Meghan Butler and her husband Brett may just be our new favorite newlyweds! Meghan and Brett met each other online, and shared a love of sports. So much so, that when Brett proposed to Meghan, he did so at the Charlotte Motor Speedway after right after Meghan revved those motors in the Nascar Driving Experience.

So how could they ‘top’ a fun proposal like that with regard to their wedding?

Puppies, of course.

Yes, puppies. Meghan and Brett are also animal lovers, and have several adopted pets from their local shelter. They wanted to do something that shared their love for shelter pets, and pet adoption, and it turns out that one of Meghan’s bridesmaids, is also a foster parent for the Greater Charlotte SPCA. She helped facilitate adorable, adoptable puppies for the most pupalicious photo shoot ever.

The amazing photographer behind Discover Love Studios was an old friend of Meghan’s and said that when the puppies were around, everyone just lit up. The smiles on their faces clearly prove that to be the case!

Meghan and Brett cemented their places in our hearts by forgoing the traditional party favors and instead, made a donation to the SPCA. They told guests that there are so many amazing dogs waiting to be adopted, they wanted everyone to go get one and feel the amazingness that is pet adoption.

Happily, all the puppies have been adopted, proving the perfect sign the gals held in pictures to be true: All you need is love and dogs!
