He’s not fat – he’s just big boned! If you need more dog to love, then Tubby, our Adoptable Dog of the Week, is the pooch for you. Tubby is a 2-year-old male Labrador Retriever Mix from Cheyenne, Wyoming. He is already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tubby’s Story:

Say hello to the goofy chubbster we call Tubby! In all fairness to him, he’s probably only carrying a few extra pounds around because he’s not able to exercise the way Labs like to. Tubby has suffered an injury that has caused him to lose some of the mobility in his back legs, making prolonged exercise and climbing up and down stairs a challenge. Tubby hasn’t let his injuries dampen his spirits though! In fact, Tubby is a goofy guy who loves entertaining his people with silly faces. He has a face for every situation, and he’s happy to share them with you! Tubby is house trained, dog-friendly, cat-approved, and knows some basic commands. He is working on his kennel training and leash skills, but he’s a smart guy, and we’re sure he’ll figure those things out in due time. Any potential adopters need to be ready to commit to continuing Tubby’s rehabilitation after his injury. Back/spine injuries take some time to recover from, and Tubby needs a forever family with the patience and strong commitment to helping him heal, so he can live his best life. If Tubby sounds like the guy for you, apply today! He’s got some silly faces he’s been dying to show you!
