Adoptable Dog of the Week – Bruce

With a goofy grin like that, you know that Bruce, our Adoptable Dog of the Week, will bring one lucky family lots of laughs and love. Bruce is a 3-year-old English Bulldog and Boxer mix from Spokane, Washington. He’s already neutered, house trained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Bruce is a 3-year-old Bulldog and Boxer mix who is a fun, friendly, silly dog. But don’t let a cute face fool you… he’s also an active, energetic, athletic dog who needs a home that will continue with his long-term training to help him reach his full potential.

He is great with cats and he does well with dogs, however, needs to be in a home where he is the only dog. Bruce must have routine, clear boundaries, and structure in a calm, balanced home.

Bruce needs someone with patience and determination. He is very true to the bulldog breed as he can be obstinate and aloof, but he can also be sweet, affectionate and cuddly. He loves to sleep in bed with his person or cuddle on the couch. But on the opposite side, he needs daily, consistent exercise outside of the yard.

A lover of all people, he gets excited when he meets new friends, so he can knock over small children.

In terms of training, Bruce knows his name, sit, down, he walks on a loose leash heel, and shakes with both paws, he is house trained and crate trained. He is a Canine Good Citizen, has graduated from Beginner Agility & Basic Obedience. He is trained to run/walk/jog on a treadmill. He is a pleaser and very food motivated – but then again, who isn’t?!
