When we take a look at U.S. politics, it’s easy to say, “A dog could do better.” In St. John’s, Newfoundland, that may hold true as a dog is seeking to become the mayor!

Finn is an Australian cattle dog who has decided there are issues he wants to tackle, and he’s just the dog to do it. Dog trainer Glenn Redmond has shared a campaign video that shares Finn’s desire to be mayor of St. John, Newfoundland, Canada, and it’s making many bark up a new tree in politics.

Finn’s on the campaign trail and wants to tell the local citizens about what he wants to do for local businesses and the community. Redmond says that Finn is a natural born leader, as he won’t stop working for his constituents to get things done. Redmond says that Finn will have a ‘paws on’ approach when it comes to resolving issues the city has.

Some of the issues he’s looking at investdogating are how to more effectively and efficiently clear snow during the winter and how to get a handle on the pothole issue. Finn, being an extreme walker, knows that those are the issues people really care about, and he plans to put them at the top of his priority list.

“Finn for Mayor.” Sounds catchy. And, he’s got great hair fur. Justin Trudeau better watch his back!
