Get out the party frocks and practice your pouty pose – New York’s PupScouts will host Pet Fashion Weekend’s coveted Red Carpet event this Saturday!

Pooches finally get the opportunity to dress like their favorite Actor/Actress and over the course of the of three hours, strut their stuff for an enthusiastic audience and vie for top prize in the #BitchStoleMyLook contest. Of course, human escorts will also dress for the occasion, but may defer to simple black tie attire versus glam and glitter so as not to steal the spotlight!

After completing this walk of fame, pooches and parents can nosh on NYC faves such as hot pretzels, pizza, Chinatown dumplings, Sabrett hot dogs and cheesecake – New York style, of course – before visiting vendor booths and attending events.

Dedicated to raising money and awareness for dog charity organizations, PupScouts is no slouch to the fame game.  The international organization grew from a small New York start-up back in 2010 and their “Schwab’s drugstore” moment came when they were profiled on National Geographic’s “Spoiled Rotten Pets”. That led to additional National TV appearances on NBC’s “Nightline” and ABC’s “Good Morning America”.

We’ll be attending this awesome event and hope to see you there! The 3rd Annual PupScouts Red Carpet Event takes place Saturday, February 11, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 225 East 57th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues) in New York. Tickets are $50; all proceeds from the event program will go to the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC Animals, and raffle proceeds will go to Waggytails Rescue.
