A loyal canine employee at a Florida airport has been given the retirement party of a lifetime after several years of hard work and faithful service.

The Orlando International Airport is a busy place, and one that often requires much extra bag-sniffing to be done by the airport’s animal squad patrol. One member, Gema, has spent the last five years as a loyal airport employee, daily serving and protecting, and has just recently retired as the diva she is.

To usher Gema into retirement with the style and luxury she deserves after such service to her community, airport staff gave Gema a party fit for a doggy diva, including a twinkly tiara and the best in dog treats. Her handler Eddie was by her side as the staff shared party pics on their Twitter account, and she had special doggy friends accompanying her at her celebration.

Airport staff says that Gema will still see her Eddie, though, as she will be living the good life with Eddie as a spoiled rotten family dog, and why should she, after such commitment and service to those who have flown in and out of the airport?
