Are you looking for a sweet, affectionate canine companion? Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Valentine, an around 5 years old mixed breed dog from Mandan, North Dakota. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped. Valentine is a lovely gal that gets along with other dogs, cats, and children – she loves everyone!

Valentine’s Tale

If you’d love a dog that’s laid back but still has some spunk and character, Valentine’s your girl. This sweet pooch is calm and easy-going but will make you smile with her quirks and antics. She thinks she's a lap dog and will shower you with kisses, so prepare yourself to be smothered in love – and respond in kind! A smart cookie, Valentine knows how to sit on command and she can shake and lay down (especially when bribed with a yummy treat or two), does great on the leash, and doesn’t mind a bit being crated when driving in a car. She also appears to be housetrained, although there is a doggy door at her foster home.

Although initially shy around kids, Valentine loves children and wouldn't mind being a companion to a couple respectful, dog-savvy youngsters. She is great with other dogs and having a four-legged roommate would only be a plus – even cats are OK, as this kind-hearted girl loves everyone around her. Valentine would be a great fit for families of all shapes and sizes: couples, families with children, singles that work from home, or active seniors looking for a companion in their golden years.

If you think that Valentine sounds like a dream – and who wouldn't – contact  Miles of Love ND to learn more about her and the adoption process. Fingers crossed – whoever gets to share their life with this sweetheart can truly count themselves lucky!

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
