Okay, what do Winston Churchill, Pee Wee Herman and Porky Pig all have in common? Coming up empty? Okay, add Simpsons cartoon character Krusty the Clown. Still not seeing the common thread amongst these diverse celebs? Alright, I’ll share; they all wore bow ties. Yes, that stylish little piece of neck attire that instantly makes the wearer stand out in a crowd, or in the case of one WonderWoof dog collar, apart from the pack.

You see the WonderWoof is a nifty looking bowtie shaped collar attachment that does double duty by not only making your little guy look super sophisticated on his daily outings but tracks his activity when you’re not around. Once attached to his collar it uses analytics to determine if he’s getting the proper amount of exercise based on his size, breed, and age. If he’s been a couch potato, you know you have a date with the leash that night.

wonderwoof-appHow it works is simple. The unit uses Bluetooth technology and connects to an app on your phone (available for free through the iTunes store and Google Play) which you can then screen throughout your work day. In fact, the multiple-user access with this app means pet-sitters and dog walkers can monitor Rover’s activity levels as well.

But it gets better, the unit also allows you to connect with other pet parents in your ‘hood with the map-enabled social features. Maybe you could make a playdate at the local dog park or partake in a shared walk?

And because every good boy loves a reward, the WonderWoof allows you to track your walks and steps, earning “bones”, “badges” and bragging rights among your friends for all your hard work.

The waterproof units come in a multitude of trendy colors, they can be personalized with interchangeable accessory fashion bands and the manufacturer confirms that plans are in the works to include a GPS version and a feline edition (WonderMeow) later this year.

The WonderWoof BowTie is now available in Best Buy (Canada), Harrods (London), and Story (New York City) with more retailers coming soon, or you can buy it online for $95 at the WonderWoof online store.  And shipping – even international – is free!
