Abby, our Adoptable Dog of the Week, is a real girl’s girl! This sweet pooch is a 1-year-old Italian Greyhound and Miniature Pinscher mix from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Abby is already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Abby’s Tale:

Hello, my name is Abby and I’m a one year old Italian Greyhound and Miniature Pinscher mix… no one really knows my lineage for sure. I have travelled far to come to my foster home and am learning what it is like to have a nice comfy bed to sleep in and plenty to eat, plus I get treats, too.

I am settling in my foster home and like to play with the other dogs. If the alpha dog in the house doesn’t want to play, that’s okay, I take the hint and walk away.

I do know how to go upstairs, but I’m not sure I want to go up there. I’m content sleeping downstairs on my own bed with my favorite blanket. I find it a bit cold outside but I will still go out and do my business. I was taught that you don’t go inside the house and I will wait until I’m let outside for a pee break.

What I would really like is to find my forever family where I will get lots of exercise, loads of love, and maybe another companion dog to play with.
