From those teefers to big round eyes, this gal is the very definition of cute! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Mackenzie, a 3 to 4 years old Pug mix from Bedford, New Hampshire. This adorable little girl is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She would do well with a doggie roommate but has not yet been tested around cats or children.

Mackenzie’s Tale

This Pug mix gal is as cute as they come! Unfortunately, she hasn’t had the best luck in life which is why she’s still waiting for that special someone to give her a forever home. She’s been bounced around homes quite a lot, but it didn’t do anything to dampen her spirits. She’s a loving, sweet pooch that just wants someone that will return her affection. However, changing the environment quite often recently did manage to confuse Mackenzie a bit when it comes to her training- she’d need a patient owner willing to go through housebreaking process with her again. She’s potty trained but needs a refresher course, if you will!

An affectionate and playful dog, Mackenzie will flourish alongside the right person. In a family where she’d get a chance to grow and gain her confidence back, it wouldn’t take long for her to become a model pet. She already has the makings, after all- she’s a sweet cuddle bug that just wants to be loved. Her friendliness is not reserved for her peeps alone, and she likes hanging out with other dogs, as well. She came to shelter in the company of another pooch, and she would love having a similarly-sized canine friend in her new family. Mackenzie hasn’t had the chance to be around cats or children in the shelter, so there’s no saying how she’d adjust to a family with feline pets or young ones running around.
