This unique-looking beauty is looking for a family to call her own! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Silvie, a 2 years old  Siberian Husky from Cedar Crest, New Mexico. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date with her vaccinations. Silvie is housetrained, gets along with children and adults alike, and would love to share her new home with another dog.

Silvie’s Tale

This gorgeous gal was picked up as a very pregnant stray that went on to give birth to five beautiful puppies – they’ve found their homes, but their momma is still waiting for someone to give her a chance. And it’s through no fault of her own because she’s beautiful inside and out! Affectionate and eager to please, she is very sweet and will shower you with love and smooches. As a Siberian Husky, though, Silvie is very active and energetic and will need an owner that can provide her with the exercise she needs. She loves to play fetch, play with toys, and explore everything and anything. Ideally, she’d go to a home with a big, safely fenced backyard where she could play and run around to her heart’s desire.

Silvie’s housetrained, but would still benefit from basic obedience training – and as she’s intelligent and wants to please her people, it won’t be a daunting task to teach this pretty pooch a trick or two. She is social and gentle, does great around children, and makes fast friends with most adults. Silvie even gets along with other dogs: in fact, she’d love to have a canine companion in her new family. A four-legged partner in crime, if you wish!

If Silvie has stolen your heart, too, contact  Siberian Husky Rescue of New Mexico, Inc. to find out more about her and the adoption process.

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
