Coconut flour and pumpkin puree come together in this delicious cookie that’s easy for dogs to digest. Add in some peanut butter and flax meal, and you’ve got one happy dog on your hands!

This recipe combines pureed pumpkin with coconut flour for a treat that’s easy on the tummy.Makes 20 cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut flour

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 egg

¼ cup flax seed meal

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Place all ingredients into a large bowl. Mix until combined.
  3. Line countertop with 1 sheet of parchment paper. Take a fist-sized amount of dough and place in the middle on the parchment-lined countertop. Tear off another sheet of parchment paper and place onto of dough ball. Use a rolling pin to gentle roll out the dough – the parchment paper will help keep the dough in one piece.
  4. Roll out dough to ½ to ¼ inch thickness and cut using cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheets.
  5. Repeat step 3 and 4 until all the dough is used up.
  6. Place cookies in oven for 20 minutes, until lightly brown.
  7. Remove cookies from oven and let cool for 2 hours.
  8. Store in air tight containers, and keep in fridge or freezer until needed.
