Adoptable Dog of the Week – Bruce
Need a buddy for car rides or a four-legged bestie to fill your life with joy? Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Bruce, a year old Hound mix from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is neutered, up to date on his shots, and housetrained. Bruce is a friendly guy that does well with other dogs, but hasn’t had a chance to be tested around cats or kids.
Bruce is one happy-go-lucky fella with lots of energy and love, and will do best with active owners that will help him burn off that excess energy productively with regular exercise and adventuring. He loves going on car rides, walks, and playing, so if you are looking for a pooch that will be your companion for all your activities, you’ve got it with Bruce. He simply loves humans and is very friendly, and it won’t take him long to see you as his best friend in the world. He is still young and full of energy, so he does tug his leash a bit and would benefit from having a patient, experienced owner that could help him do a bit more work on basic training and obedience.
Bruce plays a little rough with other dogs (and boy does he love to play) so he might not get along with every canine – he loves other dogs, but sympathies are not always mutual. He hasn’t had contact with cats so there’s no saying how he’d do with a feline, but it’s fair to assume that a kitty wouldn’t be thrilled by a big, goofy energetic dog on her turf. The same goes for children, so if you have kids or pets in the family, it might be best to arrange a meeting first to see how everyone gets along before making things official.

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
