Loving, playful, friendly, and still without a home? No wonder he looks so surprised! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Flash, a 2 years old chocolate Lab mix from East Hartford, Connecticut. This handsome hunk is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and comes with a month of pet health insurance. Flash gets along with children and other dogs.

Flash’s Tale

No one knows what kind of life Flash had before he was rescued- but whatever it was, it didn’t influence his personality. The only “memento” this sweet, happy pooch has of his less fortunate tail is his docked tail- but he still wags it like crazy! Flash is fully grown and weighs about 70 pounds of pure puppy love. He is also very energetic and will need an owner willing to take him on long walks and play with him on a daily basis. Flash is crazy about his tennis balls, so you’re sure to win him over with a nice game of fetch! Ideally, his new family would live in a house with a fenced backyard where this fella could run around and burn off all that energy.

But it’s not all running around and throwing balls when you hang out with Flash. This sweet, sweet boy also loves cuddles and will love to curl up with you on the sofa once he gets his fill of playtime.

Flash is a friendly pooch who gets along with other dogs and loves playing with children, However, due to his size and excitability, it’s best if the kids in the home are a bit older. As for the furry roommates, Flash does not discriminate: as long as the dog doesn’t mind his playfulness and is big enough to keep up with him, he’ll be happy.
