What better way to start this new decade than with a new best friend by your side? Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Whippany, a 3 years old Parson Russell Terrier from Methuen, Massachusetts. This lovely little pooch has been spayed and she’s ready to go to a furever home. Whippany had a rough start in life and would prefer to be the only pet in her new home- she deserves to be spoiled rotten!

Whippany’s Tale

Whippany or Whippy, as volunteers at the shelter like to call her, is sassy and charming, but she’s come a long way since she was rescued this past summer. This purebred pooch was rescued from a bad breeder situation in New Jersey- she has spent 3 years of her life confined in a small cage, along with 300 dogs. She wasn’t used to interaction with people but with a lot of love and patience, she blossomed into the lovable gal she is today. Whippany has learned to play with toys and regularly gets the zoomies while outside, she loves ear scratches and sitting in laps- she’s a happy go lucky pooch! Still, she will always have some quirks and needs a patient adopter that will create a perfect environment for her to be happy- and understand she had a ruff past.

As a result of her past life, Whippany would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home- she requires stability, peace, and a nice, comforting routine. Besides, it’s her time to be spoiled and loved like she deserves- without having to share someone’s affection with another four-legged companion! In case you think that you could offer Whippy the kind of home she needs and she sounds like the right pooch for you, contact MSPCA at Nevins Farm for more information about the adoption process.

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
