If you want an energetic pooch with a quirky and charming personality, then this lovely gal might be the pet you need! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Fannie, 2 years old Dachshund mix with a gorgeous brindle coat, from Boise, Idaho. This pretty cuddle bug has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Fannie gets along with other dogs, but her new home should have no cats or children.

Fannie’s Tale

Fannie is one of those dogs for which it could be said that, what they lack in size, they make up in attitude! This lovable girl has a big personality and a lot of endearing quirks that are sure to make her irresistible to the right person. According to her foster family, this Dachshund mix loves nothing more than playing fetch, redecorating the house with dog toys, and riding with humans in cars- but her number one favorite activity is cuddling with her humans. She seems to have had a bad experience with men in her previous life, as she can be distrustful of them and needs a bit time to warms up to an adult male in the family.

In case a couch potato dog would be perfect for your lifestyle, Fannie won’t be a match. Sure, she loves naps as much as the next gal, but this pupper is a ball of energy and she needs to burn it off. Ideally, she’d have a furry playmate to spend her time with, as she gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages. However, other dogs don’t always know what to make of Fannie- she’s mouthy, likes to wrestle, and has a unique play style. To quote, “she does a cute gremlin growl when playing with toys”, which can confuse your other fur baby, so a meet would be best before any decisions are made.
