Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Poochy, a 3-year-old Husky from Columbus, Ohio. This gorgeous doggo is trained, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and very affectionate: Poochy gets along great with children, cats, and other dogs. He needs an adopter who has experience with the breed and a fenced yard.

Poochy’s Tale

Just one look at this handsome fella and it’s hard not to fall head over heels for him- but stunning looks are not all that the Husky rescue has to offer. Poochy’s wonderful personality is what makes him a dream come true for any pet parent!

Poochy might seem a bit shy and reserved at first, but once you show him some love and affection, he truly blossoms into a loving, friendly pooch. This affectionate dog will stick by your side forever and repay your kindness and care with fierce loyalty and heaps of puppy-like love. Whether it’s keeping you company on a hike or snuggling on the couch while you tune in for your favorite show, you can bet that Poochy will be right next to you.

According to his foster family, Poochy is friendly with everybody. He’s great with other dogs and reportedly loves children. This lovely dog even managed to befriend the family’s cats- granted, after some slow intros and a game of chase in the beginning.

At 38 lbs, Poochy is a medium-sized dog with moderate maintenance and exercise needs. Ideally, his new furever family will have a fenced yard where he’ll be able to roam about and play safely, in addition to daily walks. Poochy might have gone through obedience training in his past, as he’s very well trained and behaves lovely when on a leash.
