If looking for a cute small dog to adopt, you are, in luck, you are! Yeesssssss. Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Yoda, a 4 years old Terrier mix from Providence, Rhode Island. This lovely small breed girl is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She needs a home without young children in the family and preferably no other pets.

Yoda’s Tale

Similarly to the famous Star Wars character she was named for, Yoda is a small and charming gal of a mysterious origin. OK, to be fair, one look at her cute coat and petite size will clear up that mysterious origin bit, as it’s quite apparent that this adorable girl has some serious Terrier genes.

Yoda is sweet and sensitive, and she will need a patient adopter that is willing to give her time to acclimate to her new surroundings. Before she settles down and starts feeling safe in your home, she will need to go through a period of adjustment!

Ideally, her new family will not include any young children or other dogs. Yoda can be a bit nervous and she is rather small, which makes it hard for her to get along with kids and canines alike. When it comes to cats, it’s a different story, though, as Yoda doesn’t mind them too much- it must be their aloof and independent nature that appeals to this cutie! In any case, if you already have a pet, it’s best to talk directly to the volunteers that are caring for Yoda, to ensure that your four-legged baby will make a great friend to his new furry sibling.

If you think that your family is the one to give a furrever home to this tiny girly, contact The Providence Animal Rescue League for more information on their adoption process.

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
