A good boy with a big heart, this teddy bear of a pooch is looking for his forever home! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Clover, a 6 to 7 years old long-haired German Shepherd from Incline Village, Nevada. He is housebroken, crate trained, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, has basic obedience, and walks well on a leash. Clover gets on well with other dogs and can be great around kids over 12 years of age.

Clover’s Tale

Sweet, smart, and so, so loving, this lovely guy is a joy to be around. He does take a while to relax around new people and needs time before he trusts you, but once he gets to know you, he’s so affectionate and cute. He doesn’t like strangers touching him (he’s not reactive or aggressive, he just doesn’t appreciate it), so it would be great if his new owners could be his advocates – people usually tend to flock to him because he’s so darn cute and all he wants is to get to know people before they start petting him.

Intelligent and food motivated, Clover already has a few tricks up his sleeve – he is housebroken and crate trained, knows how to walk on a leash, and has basic obedience skills. With the right people beside him, he could learn so much more! In the shelter, Clover is a stellar resident that gets along with other dogs and is always polite and nice – a role model for his four-legged friends. He is also good with older kids and wouldn't mind children over the age of 12 in the family. Clover has medium energy levels, so he’ll love walks and adventures but won’t mind kicking it back on the sofa from time to time.

If Clover sounds like a catch, contact High Sierra Lifeline k9 Rescue to learn more about him and the adoption process.
