Adoptable Dog of the Week - Paris

Smart, sweet, and eager to please, this charming gal is looking for someone to love her! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Paris, a 2 years old American Pitbull Terrier mix from Dayton, Ohio. She is spayed and ready to settle in a new forever home. Paris is a sweet girl but would do best as an only pet – if you already have a dog, a meet and greet would be a must.

Paris’ Tale

When this lovely girl came to the shelter, she was heavily pregnant from a high intake shelter and gave birth only two days after admittance! She nurtured her babies in a foster home, and now when they’ve all found their homes and families, it’s momma’s turn to get her very own happy ending with a family that will love and cherish her. Paris is going through training with Dayton Dog Training Club and she already knows commands such as touch, heel, around me, swing, sit, down, get it and return to heel, and is currently learning spin, wait, recall, roll over, and change of pace. She is very smart and wants to please, so training her would be a pleasure for an experienced owner – she would benefit from an owner willing to show her the ropes and teach her some basics.

Paris is a sweet girl that will love nothing more than to be around you, but she’s also energetic so it would be great if her new owner was active and willing to include her in their adventures. Long walks or picturesque hikes are right up this girl’s alley! Paris is a lovely, kind-hearted dog but hasn’t been tested around other pets, so if you already have a pet, it would be best to arrange a meeting to see how they get along.

If Paris has stolen your heart, contact the Humane Society of Greater Dayton to learn more about her and the adoption process.
