Wow – it’s hard to believe that another SuperZoo has come and gone. We’re still recovering – there was so much to see and do, and so many old and new friends to catch up with. We met a lot of amazing pet people and were introduced to a slew of new products that we can’t wait to show you. It’s hard to narrow it down to our Top 10… and that’s why we’re making it a two-parter! Here are our pick for fave products from SuperZoo 2013.

Burt’s Bees Natural Pet Care: We love Burt’s Bees products for humans, so you can imagine how happy we were to learn that there’s a line just for dogs. With items such as soothing skin cream, tearless shampoo and dental foam, Burt’s Bees has your dog covered from head to toe. All of their products are 95 percent natural and feature awesome ingredients including buttermilk, chamomile, lavender and honey. (

Paw Pods: Losing a beloved pet is difficult and you want to send your dog off to the rainbow bridge in a fitting and meaningful way. Paw Pods does just that with their line of eco-friendly, biodegradable burial pods. Available in six different sizes of burial pods and two sizes of urns, Paw Pods are made from bamboo and rice husk and are affordable. They even come with a sympathy card and seeded leaf that can be planted in your dog’s honor that will serve as a living memorial. (

Yappy Hour Vineyards: Wine has gone to the dogs – well, at least the wines from Yappy Hour Vineyards have. This is a non-alcoholic, gravy beverage that your dog will love. Just pour it over some dry kibble – you don’t even have to let the bottle breathe. We love that it comes in a variety of vintages: Bark-deaux, Pinot Tail-io, Grrrr-lot and Char-dog-nay. (

The Clock Lady Custom Clocks: This had to be one of our favorite finds at the show. The Corgi Clock had us begging for more! No matter what time it is, you’re greeted by a friendly face. And it really does make the day go faster (especially Mondays!). But it wasn’t just clocks – they also made necklaces and table tops, all featuring a kaleidoscope array of pooches. These items are 100 percent American made, gallery wrapped on canvas. (

Isaac Mizrahi M. Collection: We adore Isaac Mizrahi’s fashionable creations, so we were delighted to see his collection for dogs at this year’s show. Vibrant colors, cute designs and stylish accessories dominate the M. line. You’ll want to fetch these distinctive designer looks for your pup. (

Polydactyl Cat Toys: This line of cat toys looks good enough to eat! Inspired by Asian favorites, we especially liked the Fortune Cookie toys. They are full of organic catnip and polyester filling. They even come with a kitty fortune. We like the “Beware: there may be hairballs on their way.” Also in this line of toys are Asian Sauce Packets, Egg Rolls, Wonton and Chow Mein Noodles. (

Teddy the Dog: These unleashed designs decorate a line of shirts, bags, towels and other accessories just for pet parents. We love the humorous messages on the tagless, washed-look T-shirts: “Dirty dogs have more fun,” “Cats don’t know sit,” and “I had to take a Shih Tzu” were a couple of our faves. (

Road Wagz: The ultimate in formal wear for the stylishly handsome male dog on the town. We especially loved the Tuxedo Bibs and matching Paw Cuffs. It’s nice to see a line of clothing dedicated to male dogs, as there are plenty of cute dresses for furry princesses. Road Wagz also offers chenille and organic robes, neckties, bow ties and vests. Sealy Dog Bed: You don’t allow the dog up on your bed, so give him a place to sleep that’s just as comfortable as yours. The Sealy Dog Bed in the ultimate in sleep comfort. In fact, with its signature Quad Layer Technology, this bed may be better than yours! This layer technology consists of Cooling Energy Gel, PetRest Memory Foam, Green Tea Orthopedic Foam and an HD Charcoal Base. Now that is one sweet spot to lay your head. (

SafeSpot Locking Leash: We told you about the dangers of Dog Flipping – now here’s a leash that stops dog nappers in their tracks. The Safespot Locking Leash (from the makers of Pawz Dog Boots) is a brilliant idea, especially for those who want to leave their dogs tied up will they run into Starbucks for a grande latte. The steel cable reinforced leash is impossible to cut through… unless you have a pair of bolt cutters handy. The collar locks comfortable around your dog’s neck while the handle locks around an unmovable object. (
