If you want an active, loving dog to share adventures with, this pretty pooch will be a dream come true! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Ireyna, a 4 years old Australian Kelpie mix from Gretna, Nebraska. This charming gal is spayed, current on her vaccines, and microchipped. Ireyna obtained a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title from AKC. She is good with cats but would prefer to be the only dog in the household.

Ireyna’s Tale

This beautiful pooch is not just a looker- she has a fantastic personality, as well. Ireyna is sweet, friendly, and very loving. She loves getting attention from her family and makes a loyal and affectionate companion. At first, she might be a bit shy around strangers, but when she warms up to you, she will show you just how sweet and kind she is.

In addition to being a cuddle bug and a complete sweetheart, this smart little pooch is very well-behaved and will make a great roommate to any human. She is crate trained, potty trained, and does well on a leash and car rides. Ireyna is also a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) titled. This means she passed the AKC’s tests for the gold standard of behavior for dogs and did so with flying colors. Ireyna loves cuddles, to be brushed and playing with Nylabones. She’s a smart, laid back dog with a lot of love to give- a dream come true for many prospective pet parents.

Ireyna is an active dog that would do best in a family that could take her on walks and share outdoor adventures with her. She gets along with cats, but would prefer to be an only dog in the home. If you think that your family could be the happy ending Ireyna ahs been waiting for, contact Heartland German Shepherd Rescue (HUGS) for more information.
