We’re suckers for a cute little butt, and Corgis are well-known for having the best behinds in the dog world. That’s why we’ve picked Kay Kay as our Adoptable Dog of the Week. She’s a 3-year-old Corgi mix living in Fairfax, Virginia. Kay Kay is up-to-date with shots, already spayed, and good with dogs.

Kay Kay’s Tale:

Kay Kay, a sweet Corgi mix, has been failed many times. She was adopted from a county shelter, then years later surrendered to a high kill shelter with her pup siblings when her family fell on hard times. She was about to be euthanized when rescue stepped in to save this sweet girl. Thankfully, we now have the opportunity to do right by Kay Kay in her next home.

Kay Kay is being fostered in Fairfax, VA with a mom, 2 foster sisters (8 and 12 years old) and a sweet little senior Chi named Wicky. She’s doing well in her foster home and getting lots of love, as well as some much needed walks to help her lose a few pounds. This sweet girl is only 3 years old and weighs about 49lbs, but really needs to shed a few pounds to be healthy. We hope to find an owner who will be committed to watching her diet and making sure she gets regular exercise to stay fit.

Her foster mom describes her as very sweet and quiet pup who loves to be petted and will make an excellent companion. She’s good with other dogs, housetrained, and has already learned to use the doggy door. She likes to go on walks and really enjoys rolling in the grass and just being a dog.
