Outdoorsy and fun-loving, this pooch is ready to steal your heart! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Lucca, a 2 years old Boxer mix from Scarborough, Maine. This handsome fella is neutered, vaccinated, and housetrained. Lucca is a friendly dog that does well with older children and other well-mannered canines but would have to be tested around cats.

Lucca’s Tale

Lucca is one of those dogs that are always up for an adventure. Whether it’s a hike in nature, kite flying, or spending the day by the pool: as long there’s sun and fun, Lucca will be more than eager to be by your side! This cutie patootie is truly a great match for outdoorsy people that want their dog to be their loyal companion for all of their fun activities. Because of his curious and playful spirit, Lucca requires a home with a securely fenced yard- so he couldn’t escape in search of fun times.

A sweet and friendly doggo, Lucca will shower you with love. He loves cuddles and belly rubs, and will sit for treats. He is a smart cookie so he is already housetrained- he’s truly a pooch anyone would like in their family! Lucca gets along great with other dogs, but ever since he ended up in the rescue he hasn’t had the chance to be around cats, so he would have to be tested around felines before going into a home that has kitties in the family. He gets along great with kids, too, but since Lucca weighs circa 60 pounds, he could easily knock over a toddler or a young kid during play, so his rescuers recommend he goes to a family that has older children or no children in the family.

In case you’re utterly charmed by Lucca’s good looks and dazzling personality, contact Rock City Rescue – ME chapter to learn more about him and the adoption process.
