Goofy and energetic Rosie is our Adoptable Dog of the Week. She’s a 2-year old half American Staffordshire Terrier and half German Shepherd from Vineland, New Jersey. Rosie is spayed, up to date on all of her shots and has begun to receive basic training.

Rosie’s Tale

Rosie’s big smile really says it all. This lovely girl is full of energy and happy to meet everyone! “Rocket Full of Love”, as she’s nicknamed in the shelter, is a perfect pooch for active pet parents who would love playing fetch with her in their fenced yard. Because she’s very excitable around dogs, Rosie would do best in a household where there are no other canine companions. As a terrier-shepherd mix, she has a high prey drive, so she wouldn’t be a good fit for families with small pets like cats or rabbits.

Rosie also started her basic training, and she’s quite a quick learner. This adorable girl is eager to please, so teaching her some tricks and commands shouldn’t be a problem. Of course, as long as yummy treats are involved in the process!

Although she doesn’t always get along with other pets, she adores people. Always up for new adventures or cuddling sessions, sweet-natured Rosie dreams about a family of her own. She already spent half of her short life in a shelter, so she’s keeping her paws crossed to meet people who’ll appreciate her lively (and lovely!) personality!

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
