Adoptable Dog of the Week - Lorna
We dare you not to fall head over heels for this big smile! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Lorna, 1 year and 10 months old American Pitbull Terrier mix from Dayton, Ohio. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Lorna is a sweet pooch with a big heart and would do great in almost any family – she loves everyone! In case you already have a dog in your family, it would be best for them to meet Lorna to see how they get along.
Lorna was found tied up in front of the shelter, and it was apparent that she’d recently given birth – it turned out that her puppies were abandoned on a second location but the shelter managed to reunite them. Since then, all of her puppies have found their forever homes, but their brave momma is still waiting for someone to give a happy ending to her story. She’d been in the shelter for a while now, and it’s a complete mystery why, since she’s the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet.
Lorna loves cuddles and petting, and will return your attention with big ol’ puppy smooches – all the love you give her, she’ll return to you tenfold. She can be silly and playful but is generally well-mannered and a joy to be around. Honestly, how hasn’t someone snapped up this lovely pooch already? She’d be a perfect companion to anyone and will easily fit in most families, either as an only pet or with a canine companion. However, if you already have a dog in your family, a meet-and-greet is recommended just to confirm compatibility.
In case you too have been charmed by her big smile and an even bigger heart, contact the Humane Society of Greater Dayton to learn more about Lorna and the adoption process.
A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
