Family Dog Helps Man With Alzheimer’s Speak Again [Video]

Is there any doubt that dogs have the power to heal? If there was any, just watch this video and it will be erased. It highlights how one special dog has helped an Alzheimer sufferer regain his speech.


We all know how devastating this disease can be. Alzheimer’s disease robs a person of his memories, speech, and mental facilities. Lisa Abeyta knows the effects of this disease all too well, as he dad suffers from it. He no longer speaks – that is, unless, the family dog Roscoe is with him. Roscoe is the only one he’ll speak with.


As you’ll hear in the video, Lisa’s father tells the dog that: “Why don’t I take care? I’ll take you, and you take me.” He then lovingly gives Roscoe a pet, a touching end to a conversation Lisa never thought she’s ever hear again.
