SFSPCA Holiday Windows Event Brings Adoptable Pets to Macy’s
What better way to beat the holiday blues than snuggling with a furball? In case you’re looking to add a four-legged member to your family, you need to drop by Macy’s Union Square store and check out all those adorable pets that are keeping their paws crossed for a Christmas with a new family.
With a tradition that’s been going strong for over 30 years, the San Francisco’s Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the retail giant, Macy’s, have partnered to find loving homes to pets in need. The 31st annual event, titled “The Perfect Gift Brings People Together”, captures the true spirit of Christmas as the most magical time of the year that’s meant to be spent with the ones we love the most. Macy’s Holiday Windows event gives you the opportunity to increase your family’s happiness (and the number of its members!) by adopting a cat or a dog in need.
The most anticipated and cherished event of the year, Holiday Windows has made it possible for over 9,000 animals to find a family of their own, during its three decades of existence. Just last year, 257 pets were adopted to permanent, loving homes through this event, and nearly $100, 000 was raised to support the amazing work of the SFSPCA.
This year, in addition to the traditional window display, the Christmas joy spreads with a special place on the 6th floor of the building. Here, the visitors will be able to meet even more adoptable animals and have the opportunity to participate in the pawesome SF SPCA Cuddle Experience. How amazing is that?!
Don’t miss out on holiday snuggles with puppies and kittens, or the opportunity to meet the pet of your dreams! Come on over to Macy’s Union Square, starting at November 17, to support the SFSPCA and mingle with their lovable rescues. Who knows, maybe you’ll fall head over heels for an adorable shelter pet and give them the Christmas gift they’ve been hoping for!
For more information on this event and how to participate, check out SFSPCA’s website.
A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
