The Latest in Dog Travel Essentials From Global Pet Expo
At 2013 Global Pet Expo, we saw so many new and fashionable ways to travel with your pup. Of course Oscar, our Dog in Residence, prefers to be carried around in style, so he was all over the new bags and travel accessories featured at the show. Here are just a few of the options we spotted.
Bark n Bag: This year, Bark n Bag released its Postage Stamp Classic Carrier Collection. We love the colorful postage marks from around the globe that are stamped on this bag. The bags are made using sturdy patented construction. It features fur friendly mesh on three sides for ventilation, padded double tubular handle, adjustable shoulder strap, machine washable organic cotton quilted pad and two easy access zippered pockets. And when you’re not using it, the bag folds flat for easy storage. There are three sizes to choose from, so you’ll find the right fit for you pooch.
SturdiBag: Wild thing, you make our hearts sing. If you are wild about your pup, you should tote him around in the tiger print StudiBag. Made with durable 600 Denier Polyester, this bag is light, yet sturdy. It comes with an adjustable four-point padded shoulder strap and leather hand grip for your comfort, and retractable privacy flaps on all its mesh windows for your dog’s comfort. For road trips, the SturdiBag has seatbelt safety straps to keep your dog safe.
Petmate See & Extend: If you’re bringing your dog with you on flights, Petmate’s See & Extend Pet Carrier offers comfort and convenience. Your dog will see everything going on around him, thanks to a cool zip-out mesh vestibule that expands to create a larger resting space inside carrier. There’s even a side slip pocket that gives you storage for essentials like travel bowls and food.
