A woman fighting brain cancer was given the best surprise ever when all the puppies at Front Street Shelter covered her with sweet kisses!


It was a dream come true for a woman who has been battling brain cancer for the last three years, thanks to the Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento, California.

Courtney is 28-years-old and has valiantly been treating brain cancer for three years. Her friends, knowing she is puppy obsessed, thought that some good old-fashioned puppy love in the form of a million dog kisses might be just what the doctor ordered.


The healing power of puppies


Woman with brain cancer surprised with every puppy at our shelter! For over a year, it’s been Courtney’s dream to be showered with puppies. So when her friends and family reached out to us, we were thrilled to make this magical day happen. At just 28, Courtney has been battling brain cancer for over 3 years, and we hope that the healing power of puppies has brought her one step closer to recovery!

The fine folks at Front Street Animal Shelter had no problem helping her out, and wrangled all the puppies in the shelter together to give Courtney the surprise of her life.


Every single puppy from the shelter was brought to the hospital where Courtney was, and every single puppy crawled over her like only adorable puppies can do. Courtney said that the puppy invasion was a dream come true, and that the day was the best moment of her life.

Telling her friends she couldn’t believe it was real, and she felt like she was in a dream, Courtney cried with surprise and delight as all the little fluff-balls showered here with love.
