This sweet pooch is looking to make someone’s life infinitely better- are you that person? Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Dawson, an adorable 1.5 years old mutt from Raleigh, North Carolina. He is current on his vaccinations, neutered, and housebroken. This friendly hound mix also gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids.

Dawson’s Tale

If the loving eyes and the sweetest face didn’t already give it away, Dawson is a true cuddle bug. This sweet boy is very affectionate, and loves being petted, snuggles on the sofa and even being carried around. As long he’s around you, he’ll be tail-wagging happy!

Dawson is still a bit submissive and can be shy when he first meets strangers, but it doesn’t take long for him to warm up to new people. Once the initial shyness passes, this adorable pooch will show you exactly how a furry bundle of love acts. In addition to being house trained, Dawson has great manners when on a leash, and loves taking walks. He’s not too active, though, so you won’t have to worry about that “young dog energy” with him.

The kind and loving nature of this small breed dog is not reserved only for his favorite human. He is exceptionally friendly to everyone, be it another dog, a cat, or a curious kid that wants to play with him. If you are looking to add another furry family member to your cat-owned home or adopt a sibling for your dog, Dawson could be the ideal choice for you.

As he tends to bond strongly with his family members and prefers being in their company. Dawson would like to go to a home where he won’t have to be alone for hours. If you think you can give this wonderful canine a perfect home, contact Second Chance Pet Adoptions for more information.
