Meet Gumu, our Adoptable Dog of the Week from Adoptapet.com. Gumu is an adult male English Bulldog and Boxer Mix from Portland, OR. He is already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Gumu’s Story:

Name’s Gumu and I’m gonna lay it all out there….The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Good:

I’m fully house trained

I’m crate trained. I like to sleep in my crate and like a big boy, I go in on my own when tired.

I know basic obedience skills: come, sit, down, shake, roll-over and more!

I’m super sweet and LOVE to be with people.

I love to run—on the sidewalk, on a track, or alongside a bike.

I’m eager to please and very food motivated, which is fantastic for training!

I love life.

I have a huge tongue. Which makes for great doggy kisses!

I will do anything for belly rubs!

I want to be loved!!

The Not-So-Good:

The right loving home will be able to handle the few quirks that make me so special!

I don’t like other dogs. I need to be the only pet, plain and simple. On leash walks around other animals are fine, but no dog parks, doggie day care, or off leash hikes.

I may look like a tough guy, but the truth is I am a bit anxious and just want to know that I’m safe and loved. My confidence is improving though!

I have a strong personality and need firm, consistent boundaries. It takes a smart boy to admit that about himself…

I love giving kisses! Some people would put this under the “good” section, don’t you think?

The Ugly:

Some people think I’m so ugly I’m cute.

So there you have it. All my little secrets, now tell me some of yours?
