This pretty gal is looking for her forever family and she has a lot of love to give! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Lilly, a 3 years old Australian Cattle Dog mix from Boonville, Missouri. Lilly is spayed, up to date on her shots, house trained and crate trained. In addition to being a smart cookie, this lovely pooch is also friendly with other socialized dogs and could do well in a home with older children.

Lilly’s Tale

As an Australian Cattle Dog mix, Lilly is a bright and bubbly pooch. She is intelligent, driven, and has a lot of energy. Lilly weighs 36 pounds of pure love and spark, so she needs space to run around and play. She’d do best with an owner that could meet her needs for activity- if you like playing fetch, going on walks (and car rides- Lilly loves those!), and/or have a big fenced backyard for Lilly to play in, you could be her dream pawrent.

Another thing influenced by Lilly’s parentage is her prey drive- she wouldn’t do well in a home that has cats or other small animals, as her high prey drive kicks in once she’s around smaller critters. Dogs are OK with Lilly, and she enjoys the company of her larger furry roommate in her current foster home. Ideally, though, she’d be the only pet in the household as she’d love to be pampered and spoiled for a change.

Lilly is sweet, affectionate, and gets along great with people- she’ll charm you in a heartbeat. Her favorite things in the world are tennis balls, riding in cars, and being around her humans at all times. She really showers everyone with love!

If you think Lilly sounds like the right pooch for your family, contact Columbia Second Chance for more information about the adoption process. Fingers crossed!

A proud mama to seven dogs and ten cats, Angela spends her days writing for her fellow pet parents and pampering her furballs, all of whom are rescues. When she's not gushing over her adorable cats or playing with her dogs, she can be found curled up with a good fantasy book.
