Handsome and smart- a combination that will steal your heart! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Roulette, a 2 years old Spaniel and Bulldog mix from Cheyenne, Wyoming. This lovely big guy is neutered, fully trained, and up to date on his vaccinations. Rou, as his rescuers call him, is a friendly, playful dog that gets along well with dogs and kids, but needs a cat-free home.

Roulette’s Tale

Roulette, or Rou for short, is a charming fella with a big heart- he will steal your heart in an instant. He is a happy-go-lucky dog with a lot of energy and will appreciate having someone to play with him, whether his owner or a furry roommate or even better- both. He loves to play rowdy and rambunctious with other pooches, though, so it’s best for his new dog friends to be similar to him size-wise. Roulette is over 60 pounds. He is not a fan of felines, so it’s best if he goes to a family that doesn’t have cats. He loves kids and does well with them- if they are big enough to play with him, all the better!

Oh Roulette! How has he not gotten a single adoption application? He is such a cool dog! Apply to meet him at www.bdar.org.

In addition to being a social butterfly with stunning looks, Roulette is also an exceptionally smart pooch that is fully trained. Roulette recently graduated his 9-weeks in the P.A.C.K. Program and he’s been a favorite in the program. In case you’re not familiar with P.A.C.K, it’s an intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer. Thanks to the initiative (and Rou’s natural intelligence), this pooch now knows how to be a model pet. Roulette knows most of the basic commands, such as ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘heel’, and ‘lay down’, and has even learned ‘shake’, ‘touch’, and ‘find it’! He is also potty trained and does well when kenneled.

In case Roulette sounds like the furball of your dreams, contact Black Dog Animal Rescue, Inc for more information on how to adopt him. This charmer is waiting for his happy ending- and it might be you!
