SuperZoo is full of fun for pets and their parents, and we’ve come across Dogtra’s new ball trainer–the first ever to be dual-functioning for training professional work dogs.

As we walk around SuperZoo here in Vegas, we are literally overwhelmed with all the cool stuff. Every booth we pass has us thinking, “We must have that,” and we’re not ashamed to admit it.

We totally dug Dogtra’s new dual-functioning BALL TRAINER and were pretty impressed. It’s the first ever to function as a ball trainer that both drops and launches balls and it’s perfect for training professional working dogs. In fact, it was specifically created with professional working dogs in mind.

Jason Purgason is the founder of Highland Canine Training, LLC and said that the Dogtra Ball Trainer gives them a lot of training options that they didn’t previously have. It can be used for training dogs to detect things, or in agility or as service dogs, and that versatility is what makes it such a great tool for training.

The Ball Trainer uses a single controller that has a 100-yard range and is capable of paring up with up to eight other Ball Trainer receivers, which makes it super appealing to those looking or needing to work with several dogs at a time, or various situations.

The Ball Trainer has a dropper mode that allows you to load up to three balls and then have them drop one at a time for use. It also has a launcher mode that shoots balls about five-feet in the air, though that varies based on the size of the ball. What we love and think others will love too is that it’s a small trainer, making it easy to use in professional training and detection situation. Best, it gives immediate remote rewards for behavior marking when dogs are successful.

Dogtra is known for their excellent professional tools that go along with their e-collar training methods and this new Ball Trainer launcher will undoubtedly be a welcome addition to their already popular lines. It retails for $399.99
