We recently told you about what Philadelphia Eagles star receiver Torrey Smith did for a Baltimore, Maryland animal shelter, and fellow NFLer Malik Jackson wants to keep that ball rolling!

Looks like NFL star Torrey Smith and his wife’s donations to pay the adoption fees for 46 shelter animals in Baltimore may have started a trend! The day after the couple helped nearly 50 homeless pets find their furever homes, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Malik Jackson did the same thing at a Jacksonville, Florida shelter!

Jackson paid the adoption fees for 181 animals to be adopted from the Jacksonville Humane Society, where he guest starred at an adoption event. One of the pets that found a home was an arthritic dog, Prince, who will continue to need arthritis treatment, so that’s made his adoption a bit harder. An elderly cat with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus named Devan also found a loving family after a woman heard that the adoption fees would all be waived due to Jackson’s generosity.

Jackson’s appearance and autograph sessions attracted many who wanted to meet the newest Jaguar star, and let’s be honest–when you see those adorable dogs and cats just waiting to be loved–how can you say no?
