Hot dog! Petco hosted 500 pups and their parents to Petco Park in San Diego, California for their annual ‘Dog Days of Summer’ event.

Baby Daddy” star and puppy parent to Neptune Derek Theler hosted Petco’s annual Dog Days of Summer event last week in San Diego, CA. Theler says that Neptune is his muse, and credits him for the inspiration of his artistic talents. Theler threw out the ceremonial first pitch and then enjoyed the Padres’ game with his fur-buddy watching with him.

They kicked the game off with a little “Tail” Gating that even included a doggie ‘beer’ garden! Dogs and their humans enjoyed dog-centric crafts and contests and had the opportunity to of course, take lots of photos!

More than 500 dogs paraded around the infield and participated in various contests, with Chonks winning as the Most Padres Spirited. Puppies enjoyed pup-dates with furry pals inside The Barkyard doggie suites (ooh, la la!) where they cheered the Padres on to the 6-) shut-out victory they enjoyed over the Atlanta Braves! Petco debuted the premium dog-friendly suite seats last year, saying that pet parents doing things with their fur-family members was their main motivation.
