Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could communicate with your pet from anywhere, as long as you had a WiFi connection?  We sure think so!

Apparently, so do the people at Petzila, a new pet product company that wants to bring owners closer to their furry friends using the some cool technology.

Just in time for the holidays, they’ve released the PetziConnect, a device that lets you connect and interact with your pet when you’re not home.

Originally a campaign on Indiegogo, the project raised over 250 percent of its funding goal last summer. Since then, the company has been perfecting device and now, it’s ready to ship out.

The PetziConnect is equipped with an HD camera, 110 degree wide angle lens, extended range audio capabilities, a motion sensor to detect your pet and “treat level notification”. That’s right; this thing even shoots out treats for your dog (but only when you tell it to, of course).

All you have to do is set up the PetziConnect and download the accompanying smartphone app. After that, you’ll be able to see your pet, snap pictures or video of them, talk to them (and hear them “talk” back) and of course, give them treats when they’re being a good boy or girl.

What a great way to give your pets some extra love when you’re not home, right? Imagine having a super stressful day at work: wouldn’t it be great if you could step outside your workspace for a few minutes and have a little powwow with your most loving, faithful companion? Talk about brightening your day!

The PetziConnect also won’t cramp your taste in décor — it’s only about a foot high and has a sleek, white removable skin and can be freestanding or wall-mounted so it’s eye level with your pooch or kitty. There are also holiday-themed skins you can special order if you want to get into the festive spirit!

The PetziConnect is on sale now for $169.99 on their Indiegogo website. If you’d like to see it in action, check out the video below.
