Mailman and dogs can be the best of friends. This mail carrier out of Australia calls for a truce in the sweetest way EVER.

“It’s lost in the mail.”

“He went postal.”

“What would you get if you merged the US Postal Service with Domino’s?” (Answer: Pizzas, delivered five days late!) Ba dum dum….

Sure, the post office gets a lot of ribbing and maybe a bit of a bad rap these days.

But a postal carrier in Australia is single-handedly (well, with the help of some precious paws!) working to eradicate that!

Meet Martin Studer, a “Postie” (that’s Aussie talk for mailman) out of Brisbane, Australia. Feeling that it’s time to shatter the myth that dogs and mail carriers are natural enemies, Studer routinely posts pictures of all the pooches he comes across on his mail route on his Facebook page, and shows he is clearly a fan of dogs.

And they love him right back! Picture after picture he posts show happy dogs, helping him make his deliveries and getting pets and love in return.

But there’s one pup that got some extra special attention last week. Studer and golden retriever ‘Pippa’ share a special bond, and he thinks so highly of her that he can’t disappoint her when it comes to the daily mail routine. Posting, “Sometimes, Pippa comes out for the daily delivery but there’s no mail for her to collect. So I have to improvise,” Studer’s picture of the adorable Pippa and the sweet piece of mail he made up just for her went viral!

Saying, “It’s good to break down that ‘postie vs. dog’ stereotype,” Studer also shows what a true dog lover he is every holiday season. He dresses as old St. Nick and delivers holiday tennis balls and treats. On the balls, he writes, “To dog, from Postie.”

Awwwwwwwwwww….

So the next time the line at the post office makes you crazy, or your mailbox is full of so much junk mail you don’t even know what do with it, remember Martin Studer, proving once again that dogs really are (The post)Man’s Best Friend!
