Need a companion for adventuring? Look no more! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Finn, a 3 to 4 years old Beagle and Australian Shepherd mix from Sprakers, New York. He is neutered, house trained, and up to date on his vaccinations. Finn is a friendly fella that gets along with everyone he meets, but it’s recommended that he goes to a home with older children, if any. He does well with other dogs but isn’t a fan of cats.

Finn’s Tale

If you want a dog that’s always up for an adventure, loves to explore, and nothing makes him happier than seeing new places and things, then Finn is your guy. A mix of two intelligent, active, and curious breeds, he’s definitely one of those dogs that don’t like sitting still for too long, which is why he would be the perfect fit for an active family. He is great in the car and likes going on rides, so travel isn’t a problem for this little fella.

A friendly and sweet doggo, Finn is yet to meet a human that he doesn’t like. He’s all tail wags and cuddles! Of course, due to his energy levels, he’d do better in a home without kids or older children that he couldn’t inadvertently knock down in his excitement. He is in a foster family with 8 other dogs and he does great with all of them, but he’s perfectly fine on his own and wouldn’t mind being the only furbaby in the home. He is not good with cats, so only feline-free families are a good match for Finn.

If you think that Finn sounds like a dreamboat and would fit right in with your lifestyle, contact Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter to find out more about him and the adoption process.
