Cosplay is fun, but let’s be honest…all those costumes can add up. A Japanese woman has found a hilarious and cost effective way to engage–and brings her dog into the fun!

Cosplay–pretty much just as it sounds. Costume play, with costumes typically based on Japanese anime characters. People love to dress up and show their stuff.

One creative woman who lives in the suburbs of Tokyo has taken it upon herself to create hilarious (and inexpensive!) costumes for her adorable (and extremely good-natured!) chihuahua-mix (maybe part Mameshiba?) to include her in the mix.

Cardboard designer Senba says that her design inspirations are all things she likes–manga, anime and movie characters or even Japanese playing cards. Her pooch is most accommodating, as you can see…

Some headgear for the day?

The Dark Side…and apparently the twinkly Light side.

A little fall fun…regular and Darth Vader style!

Because what dog doesn’t love their head being the accessory?

The eyes have it, or do they?

Hello, Kitty! I ‘ruff’ you!

If this doesn’t scream “Christmas Card,” we don’t know what does!!!
