College Football season is back, but fans of New Mexico State Aggies are a tad more excited about a four-legged, furry tee-fetcher named Striking the Wonder Dog!

Nothing like college football to bring the fall back in, is there? Well, except watching the adorable helpers on the sidelines!

Such is the case for fans of New Mexico State, who can’t get enough of a very good tee-fetcher named Striking. Striking the Wonder Dog, actually, and the video of him waiting expectantly for his team (or any team playing on the home field!) to score so he could fetch the tee is the.best.

His athletic prowess was so impressive, the ESPN announcers couldn’t get enough of him!

Striking is a border collie who replaced Smoki the Wonder Dog as New Mexico State’s tee-fetcher. Smoki retired nearly 16 years ago after service to his team, and the team was without a tee-fetcher for nearly a decade. Then, four years ago, Striking was introduced and the crowds went wild!

He’s not just your average tee-fetcher, though. He also is a vital part of the Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue Team, and he is a wilderness search dog for New Mexico.

Brains and brawn–Striking has it all!
