A true underdog won the Daschund Dash in Minnesota’s Canterbury Park, as a three-legged wiener dog named Ringo beat out his four-legged competitors!

An adorable little three-legged Dachshund named Ringo stole the show and the hearts of all the viewers at the Canterbury Race Track in Minnesota as he plodded along the straight and narrow course to be the final winner.

Four-legged participants like Mr. Boss Longbody and Dexter were the predicted winners, but when the dogs sprang out of the gate, it was clear that Ringo had something to prove.

And prove he did! Wearing the number ‘three’ (see what they did there?) he set out to show the announcers that he meant business, particularly compared to the rest of the contestants who seemed to be all over the course.

Ringo had the prize in mind, though, so though he may not have been the fastest dog there, he showed that slow and steady could win the race, and crossed the finish line before any of the other dogs competing.

Cheered by all, Ringo secured a spot in the Labor Day Bark in the Park Run on September 3, 2018. Can’t wait to see that sweet boy run his heart out!
