When it comes to drinking fine wine and supporting a cause, we’re always on board! We tip our glasses to Windsor Vineyards, a winery that’s donating a portion of sales to Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

With the unmistakable sound of Jingle Bells and Santa Baby now wafting from my car radio we have to acknowledge that we are in fact moving into the holiday season and it’s time to make my list and check it twice!

  • T’is the season to feel charitable. Check.
  • Holiday gift giving is upon on. Check.
  • We’re all a sucker for a cuddly pooch. Check.
  • We also enjoy a good glass of wine from time to time. Check again!

So why not tick all these boxes by purchasing a nice California vino for your bestie and help support a charity that trains guide dogs for the visually impaired at the same time. In fact, now that it’s party season why not pick up a few bottles and share the spirit of giving – and giving back.

Windsor Vineyards is a Sonoma-based winery that has been producing award-winning wines for the past 50 years and a special feature they offer volume purchasers is the ability to customize the labels to suit the need or in this case, the cause. You see this year they are partnering with New York-based non-profit Guiding Eyes for the Blind and will be redirecting a portion of their seasonal pet label promotion sales back to the charity.

Windsor Vineyards Vice President of Marketing Stephanie Peachey says, “Windsor chose to partner with Guiding Eyes this holiday season to help bring awareness to the importance of guide-dogs for the visually impaired, and support an organization that is changing the lives of so many people in need.”

Through a combined social media campaign and packaging that features the Guiding Eyes pooches and pups in training on each label, the vineyard hopes to bring some added attention to this hard working organization and their furry students this holiday season. In fact, they have pledged a minimum donation of $5,000 from this year’s promotion that has already kicked in and runs just until December 15th – to ensure all customers receive their packages before Christmas.

If you’d like to order some wine and help out a great cause, head to Windsor Vineyards’ website.
