Military deployments are hard on families–fur-family members included. This sailor’s return after a training mission left his four fur-babies thrilled to see him, and their joy is contagious!

Navy Airman Michael Schiela left his Philadelphia home in October for a deployment mission in Pensacola, Florida, leaving behind his four Pugs–Pierre, Pixie, Seamus and Rooney–with his family.

When they came home from the airport after picking Michael up, the sailor was greeted with the best licks ever as his pugs realized their Daddy was home. The pups had been hiding upstairs in a bedroom to surprise him and they were just as surprised (and thrilled) to be reunited!

Michael will be leaving for Norfolk, Virginia in just a few days, where he will be stationed on the USS George Washington, a Navy aircraft carrier, in preparation for deployment.

And while deployments are always hard because of separation, we have a pretty good feeling that there is a heckuva homecoming waiting for him when he returns next!
