Disney Caricature of Service Dog is Picture Perfect

As if the most magical place in the world could be any sweeter… a Disney artist broke the Internet with a caricature of a service dog and we can’t even!

Sometimes, we just post things on social media sites just because they are so stinking cute. That’s probably why Twitter user @cutiechaser_ (who also goes by Katie) posted the sweetest picture of a Disney artist drawing a caricature of a guest, as they do all over the park.

Except this was not your average Disney goer.

Instead, the picture, which was sent to Katie by her parents who were visiting Disney, was of a beautiful service dog named Yahoo. Yahoo is in training and lives with a volunteer from Canine Companions in San Marcos, California.

Yahoo’s trainer is getting him ready to service a special someone with disabilities, and took Yahoo to Disneyland to help socialize him and give him real-world experiences.

Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit service-dog organization. They breed and train dogs to offer them to people with disabilities, and they offer the dogs at no cost. Yahoo’s trainer and a friend who also is training a service puppy wanted to go somewhere there were lots of distractions (so they could practice patience and obedience) but also a place that would be fun, since they are puppies who like to play and socialize.

Sitting still for a caricature to be drawn is a great way for Yahoo to learn obedience and patience, while also learning to ignore what we imagine were the tons of people who, “Ooooohhhhed!” and “Aaahhhhhed!” over the adorableness that was Yahoo sitting there!

Katie’s tweet has been retweeted over 50,000 times and has over 130,000 likes on social media sites, and, according to her Twitter feed, has done what she was hoping, “Brought happiness 2 so many people with this dog pic.”

What else would we expect from the happiest place on earth?
